Senior Support Engineer

Tasks:

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Support Engineer looking to work for an industry leading Software Firm within the Pharmaceutical Industry. In order to expand we are seeking talented Support Engineers to join our U.S. team for a position in Cary, NC. Support Engineers provide key support after the deployment of Werum’s MES solution PAS-X and work closely with Werum’s Subject Matter Experts and respective Client IT to ascertain successful resolution of IT challenges in regulated environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual looking to gain firsthand support experience throughout the US, Canada & Caribbean. The ideal candidate should have a technical background, design and development experience with Java, debugging skills, must enjoy interaction with customers, have excellent communication skills, be willing to travel for project needs and enjoy a fast paced work environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support PAS-X Service Desk with technical incident analysis and code review
  • Support customers during go-live of the PAS-X application
  • Coach and instruct Werum employees on technical PAS‐X product matters
  • Investigate client issues – troubleshooting (replicate/diagnose/document problems)
  • Understand functionality provided by Werum’s PAS-X MES software for the purpose of deploying
  • it at client locations
  • Provide office based support for Werum’s PAS-X Service Desk after 4-6 weeks of onboarding
  • program
  • Mentor new staff members and motivate them with regard to assigned objectives
  • Oversee IT professionals engaged in the after sales support of client information systems

  • Articulate and comfortable speaking to customers and groups
  • Experience in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
  • Ability to quickly learn MES software functionality, related pharmaceutical configuration
  • processes; must enjoy working with IT
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborate in teams and adjust based on situations; must enjoy dealing with clients
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and GMP/GAMP principles

Qualifications:

  • A degree in IT / Computer Science or relevant field
  • Seven (7) years of experience in the life sciences industry using PAS-X
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and GMP/GAMP principles
  • Proven experience in managing IT personnel
  • Experience in planning of information technology projects
  • Experience in project management; a certification (PMP/IPMA) is a plus
