Senior Consultant Cyber Security (m/f/d)


Senior Consultants play a critical role in the development and deployment of Werum’s MES solution PAS-X and work closely with the Werum teams and clients to ascertain successful completion of projects. In addition they guide Associate Consultants & Consultants.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for surveillance and ascertaining compliance of Werum products to meet cyber security requirements:
    • Definition, assessment and verification of non-functional requirements
    • Providing guidance for software development in our products and projects
    • First contact for all cyber security related questions (internal and external)
    • Training Werum’s employees in cyber security matters
  • Participation in vendor audits and cyber security / data integrity audits
  • Representation of cyber security in Werum’s user community and international committees
  • Creation of cyber security white papers
  • Development and provision of consulting services regarding cyber security
  • With respect to cyber security
    • Consult & train client associates of Werum’s software
    • Understand functionality provided by Werum’s software for the purpose of consulting customers
    • Support projects in all areas of the PAS-X software development lifecycle
    • Provide management support
  • Assume responsibility to complete projects or activities
  • Work independently and guide Junior Consultants & Consultants
  • Mentor new staff members and motivate them with regard to assigned objectives


The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years’ experience with large scale applications in a consulting or training role, should have project management experience, must enjoy interacting with customers, have excellent communication skills, be willing to support our customers’ onsite for project needs and enjoy a fast paced work environment.

Further qualifications are:

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in a Science or Computer Science field is required, a Master of Science Degree is preferred
  • Sound understanding of cyber security and expectations of regulated companies
  • Thorough understanding of the software project life cycle
  • Experience in cyber security technologies and strategies, in the context of virtualization (e.g. VMware ESX), cloud environments (e.g. AWS), Microsoft Environments (e.g. RDP/RDS) and Network Security and Firewalls (e.g. Cisco Nexus)
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable cyber security requirements and industry frameworks including but not limited to ISO 2700x, NIST 800 series, SOC 1 / SOC 2, IEC 62443 and relevant cyber security industry best practice guidelines
  • A project management certification (PMP, IPMA) is a plus
  • Experience with Werum’s MES solution PAS-X is ideal
  • Self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic personality with an Independent way of working
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Ability to work in different roles and collaborate in virtual teams
  • Willingness to travel, approx. 50-70%
