For our location in Richmond we are looking for
Perform the required phases of the tune and testing process necessary to bring a completely refurbed machine to its stated operating capacity and efficiency.
Ensure that the machine is completed by scheduled deadlines. Ensure that machine being tune and tested passes necessary internal audit as well as customer acceptance tests.
Diagnose and correct electrical problems that occur during the tune and testing phase of machinery refurbishment.
Assist in planning the tune and test operation sequence to ensure most efficient use of time and resources.
Demonstrate ability to operate laboratory product testing equipment.
Demonstrate ability to function in a high-pressure, demanding situation. Demonstrate ability to maintain composure during inevitable challenges in the tune and testing process and/or in front of customer representative(s) in-house during machinery acceptance tests.
Communicate clearly and precisely with in-house personnel as well as customer representative(s).
Assemble, dismantle and test electrical/electronic components.
Repair electrical / electronic equipment including the cleaning of parts returned by the customer.
Test all electrical / electronic equipment including ground fault and current draw testing.
Use hand and electric tools in the assembly and repair of equipment.
Perform all work safely while adhering to company safety standards.
Perform duties associated with assembly of prototype equipment.
Uncrate and unpack returned equipment as well as crate, pack, and prepare assembled equipment for shipment.
Unload and load equipment from trucks with forklift truck and move equipment in the assembly area with forklift or hand truck.
Occasionally travel to customer sites for installation and/or troubleshooting work as requested. Use of company vehicle for trips to customers, landfill, etc.
High school graduate with vocational training in a mechanical or electrical / electronic discipline or equivalent experience. Completed apprenticeship desireable. At least three (3) years experience in panel wiring / painted circuit boards and / or complex electrical / electronic assembly with good mechanical and analytical abilities. Must be able to use complex electrical / electronic schematics and be able to work with color code cables.
