Senior Manager Business Development


  • Develop and execute a successful business development strategy that increases market share for competitive product and service offerings
  • Support cross-functional teams to explore markets and drive market expansion
  • Focus on Service business and its evaluation towards recurrent revenue services
  • Map new services to service capabilities and map these capabilities to IT services/ capabilities; support the BAs where needed
  • Manage the capability roadmap in alignment with all stakeholders
  • Identify, assemble and present creative business development solutions
  • Show conceptual abilities paired with impact-oriented creative problem-solving skills, ability to take initiative, along with a healthy dose of pragmatism
  • Actively seek, analyze and communicate market trends, intelligence and competitor information to management and teams.


  • You are proud of your excellent academic degree in business, economics, engineering studies or similar or you have gained a significant experience in the required fields
  • You have ideally worked in a Machine Builder, Wind Industry or IT company
  • You ideally already gained 7+ years of experience in a corporate business development, service, sales, IT or management consulting position and you also possess start-up experience
  • You have a strategic mindset with a hands-on mentality you are equally excited about exploring new areas of growth and bring them to live on an operational level
  • You understand Service and IT equally and have demonstrated a successful service digitalization transformation
  • You have a strong interest in new business models and trends within the digital and IoT sector as well as a solid understanding of data analytics and statistics
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills in German and English, and you can efficiently deal with various stakeholders and interest group
  • You are familiar with working on CxO level
  • You demonstrated ability to develop, initiate and execute complex business strategies and develop significant new accounts/services.
  • You have advanced interpersonal skills sufficient for developing complex, dynamic relationships with a diverse variety of individuals representing a broad cross-section of cultures, disciplines and senior business managers.
  • You have the ability to make important decisions carrying large financial consequences, often under some pressure and tight time deadlines.
  • You have the ability to effectively persuade and influence the thinking of others through social and verbal interactions and presence.
