For our location in Richmond we are looking for

Director, Services

Tasks:

  • Responsible for after-sales and services activities in the North American market of the tobacco industry
  • Responsible for customer service (spare parts), technical service, maintenance services and customer consulting, a total of 40+ employees.  Each department is lead by a manager who reports to the Director, Services
  • Coordinate all market activities such as parts, sles, technical service customer visits, product promotions and introduction of new after-sales products
  • Visit customers with account representatives to conduct sales negotiations, provide consultaitons and increase customer relations
  • Responsible for after sales P/L including incoming orders, sales, investments, cost of materials, staff, etc.
  • Develop and revise as necessary strategy for successful business in a volatile market
  • Provide an interface to central support functions at headquarters in Hamburg and to the sales companies worldwide

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in Business Administrator or Engineering; Master's degree preferred
  • Possess ten years' experience working in or with the US market with experience in after-sales market
  • Hands-on experience in an established business wiht multi-product line offerings is preferred
  • Good ability for budget reports and analyses, inventory, sales and other market data
  • Possess at least three or more years of supervisory experience with direct reports or cross-functional training & excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Work independently
  • Ability to lead people
  • Strong analytical and computer skills (MS Office) and SAP skills
  • Effective in customer relations at all levels from floor to executive suite
  • Demonstrate excellent work ethi, possess highly developed organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Technical expertise in the tobacco/food processing packaging industry beneficial
