For our location in Cary we are looking for

Cloud Services Architect

Tasks:

  • Plan, define and Design of the Managed Services Operating Model for cloud operations in regards to application support, data integrity, cloud infrastructure support, security, and compliance.
  • IaaS management design as it relates to Operations, support, and Security
  • Create Standards for design patterns and supporting Frameworks for all Managed services
  • Develop review playbooks for operating model while understanding the needs of the Business Operations
  • Develop technical strategies and architectures for services
  • Develop dashboards for reporting, asset tracking, service performance, and support requests, includes cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring while ensuring networks operate efficiently
  • Design what is needed for configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer systems
  • Learn and share new skills through independent research, formal training, and industry events
  • Ability to lead development of the technical solution or offering, in translating the business needs into technical requirements
  • Identifies gaps, strategic impacts, financial impacts and the risk profile in the technical solution or offering, and provides technical support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an IT-related discipline required; advanced degree is preferred
  • At least 5 years of hands-on system administration or system engineering experience
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3
  • Service Design/Architecture experience
  • Strong consultative skills and an ability to see through the tactical requests to find the business needs
  • Wide technical experience and knowledge with areas of depth through years of experience in application development, support, infrastructure design, and operations; a strong consultative background is a plus
  • Ability to problem solve and work with others to find the best solution
  • Precision in your work and attention to all details
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Capability to work independently and self-motivate
