Area Sales Manager


Do you have a passion for sales, a customer-oriented mindset and technical experience, and are you ready to contribute to the continued development at Riantics? Then maybe it’s you we are looking for to replace Thomas, who have joined another department here at Riantics.


You will become part of a dedicated team in Customer Services and will be responsible for the development of sales within Retrofit in designated areas and geographical locations. You will work determined on strengthening sales initiatives and activities within the retrofit and upgrading of existing plants and also smaller logistics systems - with a focus on creating value for the customers.


Areas of responsibility and key assignments will be:


  • Coordination of sales and design layout in collaboration with the sales support team.
  • Responsible for leading the entire offer and sales process from the first contact with customers to the handover of the contract
  • Work focused with the sales pipeline and ensure the continued expansion of the customer database and the development of a stable growth potential
  • Actively contribute in preparing and realizing the sales budget for the division
  • Ensure embeddedness and maintenance of customer data base
  • Analysis of market trends and requirements
  • Participation in promotional initiatives such as fairs and exhibitions
  • Other duties as assigned.


About you


You have experience from a similar position within Automated Material Handling Equipment (AMHE), or similar. You have a proven track record of results from the selling of PLC-controlled systems and are able to describe the functionality and performance of complex systems. You quickly absorb knowledge of project sales and have a natural ability to build and maintain sound customer relations.


Experience within the selling of retrofit and upgrades to existing systems and the selling of smaller, automated logistics systems would be preferred.


You solve your tasks in a structured manner and work focused on meeting customer requirements and budgetary targets. You like to work independently, but also understand the importance of working in teams and of acting as a motivating and integrating factor in the team work. You will have a broad range of contacts internally, and we therefore expect you to have strong communications skills and that you are able to interact on all levels of the organization.


Required language skills: English, verbal and writing negotiation level.
